About The Position

Volund is hiring a CNC Lathe Programmer to take precision turning components from engineering model to finished part. The role includes programming in Siemens NX CAM, planning processes and workholding, setting up and operating machines, proving out programs, and troubleshooting production issues. The programmer works directly on parts for jet engines and uses the factory’s NX and Teamcenter digital thread. The work spans one-off prototypes and higher-volume production, with responsibility for both making parts and improving processes as volumes increase. The role collaborates with design and manufacturing engineers on manufacturability and process improvements. U.S. Person status is required under ITAR. The listed salary range is $120,000–$160,000. Volund describes itself as building propulsion systems through advanced automation, precision manufacturing, and rapid iteration.
