About The Position

Morris Group, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned business and one of North America's largest machine tool distributors, is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician for its Morris South division. This role is crucial for supporting manufacturers of precision machined parts in the southeastern U.S. The company's mission is to enhance manufacturers' competitive edge through improved productivity. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machine tool equipment, controls (such as Fanuc and Siemens), and other components purchased by customers. This position operates independently to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Five years of experience with CNC machine repair.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls.
• Utilizing machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal/vendor resources to research and resolve machine issues.
• Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted regarding the status of machine issues, repairs, and installations.
• Promoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
• Conducting after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and the company's product lines.
• Performing related duties as required.
