About The Position

Productivity, Inc. is seeking an experienced fabrication professional to leverage their expertise in a unique role. This position involves helping customers solve problems, improve processes, evaluate equipment, and maximize their fabrication technology. The ideal candidate is someone others rely on for knowledge regarding fiber lasers, programming, nesting, setup, and running difficult parts. This role offers an opportunity to move beyond the shop floor and utilize your technical skills in a customer-facing capacity.

Requirements

5+ years of strong hands-on fabrication experience
Fiber laser expertise — programming, nesting, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and process optimization
Press brake expertise — programming, setup, tooling selection, bending processes, and troubleshooting
Experience with CAD/CAM, nesting, and fabrication programming software
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical information to others

Nice To Haves

Broader fabrication experience with equipment such as turret punch, plasma, waterjet, or plate roll
Experience as a lead, supervisor, foreman, production planner, or other go-to technical resource
A degree is helpful, but it isn't required.

Responsibilities

Help customers solve laser, press brake, programming, nesting, tooling, and processing challenges
Program, set up, and demonstrate fabrication equipment
Train customers on equipment and applications
Work with the sales team on equipment demonstrations and customer solutions
Develop time studies, process plans, tooling recommendations, and application solutions
Support trade shows and customer events as a fabrication equipment expert
