About The Position

As a Level 1 CNC Support Staff member, you will work in a department such as saw, tool crib, assembly, polishing, maintenance, or shipping. Based on your productivity, work ethic, and attitude, you may have the opportunity to enter Donson’s seven-week training bootcamp and work toward a CNC machinist role in the lathe, mill, or EDM departments. Little or no CNC experience is required. The position is with Donson Machine, a family-owned medical device manufacturer focused on providing employees with a safe workplace and opportunities to develop technical and personal skills. The position is based in Alsip, Illinois, and works the night shift from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity for overtime.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Two years of job experience; part-time or summer jobs are acceptable for recent graduates.
Be punctual and maintain an excellent attendance record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk up to 90% of the day.
Ability to bend, twist, turn, and reach up to 100% of the day.
Ability to work in a shop environment with continuous exposure to potentially hazardous metalworking machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, mist, oils, and solvents.
