About The Position

PFI Precision Inc. is looking for an experienced CNC Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift team in New Carlisle, OH! This is a hands-on position that will require some direct production work. The successful candidate must be willing to run CNC machines, edit programs and set-up new CNC lathe jobs, train additional set-up people and operators, improve existing processes, hold people accountable while being respectful, and provide leadership to the team and organization.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
5-10+ years prior CNC manufacturing experience required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Responsibilities

Set up multiple Turning or Milling Machining Centers – (CNC Machines) involving intricate tooling in a wide range of close tolerance applications.
Assist in devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs.
Assist in scheduling and ordering tooling.
Instruct and train others.
Diagnose and correct problems of basic to medium difficulty, quickly and efficiently.
Make programming and job improvements.
Maintain production rate as documented in the process instructions.
Improve 5S activity in your area of responsibility.
Oversee the entire second shift including other departments. Total number of employees on the second shift will be approximately 7-9 people.
Assist, as needed, in other functional areas of machining.
Responsible for supervising and directing all employees in CNC area.
Provide effective daily communication to first shift Supervisor, Managers and Maintenance.
Provide optimal quality of service to all customers – internal and external.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Utilize personal and assigned tools to perform work assignments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives.
