About The Position

Under direct supervision, this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family, and providers in the department by completing delegated duties for the shift and maintaining clear communication regarding patient needs through the RN and Charge Nurse. Requirements

• Completed training program for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) or any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family, and providers.
• Complete delegated duties for the shift.
• Maintain clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free, clean environment.
• Facilitate patient-focused care.
