About The Position
IntegraCare is seeking a CNA to assist residents with daily living functions in a friendly and courteous manner while preserving their dignity and respect. The role uses techniques learned in Life Stories Training to reduce resident stress and encourage cooperation through dignity and empathy. The CNA also supports consistent staff follow-through, including activity programming, when the Life Stories Director or Life Stages Coordinator is absent; assists other Resident Wellness Associates with completing tasks and teamwork; and completes clear, accurate documentation in resident records and Move N.
Requirements
- A valid CNA license is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to provide quality assistance to residents in a professional and caring manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make confident ethical decisions.
- Ability to manage time effectively to complete multiple tasks.
- Must possess computer skills.
- Requires frequent lifting of residents, bending, stretching, standing, and walking for extensive periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience caring for elderly people is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulating, while treating them with dignity and respect.
- Use techniques learned in Life Stories Training to minimize resident stress and maximize cooperation through dignity and empathy.
- Help ensure consistent staff follow-through, including activity programming, when the Life Stories Director or Life Stages Coordinator is absent.
- Provide assistance and support to other Resident Wellness Associates to ensure task completion and teamwork.
- Complete documentation clearly and accurately in resident records and Move N.
