Requirements

Current CNA certification
A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
Professionalism and commitment to resident confidentiality
A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
Valid CPR certificate preferred.
Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus, but we value the right attitude and commitment to caring for our residents.

Responsibilities

Provide Compassionate, Person-Centered Care
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, and incontinence care
Help residents with eating, mobility, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises
Respond promptly to nurse call systems and resident needs
Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and choice
Provide care based on individual resident preferences and established care plans
Monitor & Communicate
Take and record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other health information as directed
Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
Accurately document care provided
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed
Follow restorative nursing and service procedures
Be Part of the Team
Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the care team
Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with residents, families, and coworkers
Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Respond appropriately and efficiently during emergencies
