About The Position
Senior Helpers is hiring a caregiver to provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care to seniors in their homes, helping clients remain safe and independent. The role focuses on matching caregivers’ areas of expertise with clients’ needs and building supportive relationships with clients and their families. Caregivers help with daily activities, companionship, meal preparation, and communicating updates about clients’ well-being. The listed pay rate is $15–$16 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Passion for helping others.
- Enjoyment of customer service and communicating with clients.
- Interest in helping the community and making a difference in someone’s life.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with clients through engaging conversations.
- Participate in clients’ preferred hobbies and activities, such as scrapbooking, gardening, and games.
- Prepare meals for clients.
- Assist clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
- Report completed activities and provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
