About The Position
Forest Hills of DC is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living and personal care according to individualized care plans, encouraging resident participation in self-care and providing individualized attention. The position is scheduled for the day shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pay is $22 per hour, with a $500 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Hold a current District of Columbia CNA license with the Board of Nursing.
- Hold a current CPR license.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to relate information concerning residents’ health.
- Meet general health requirements.
- Be able to carry, push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, locomotion, and feeding, in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Assist residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and engaging interactions, following individualized care plans.
- Help residents meet personal care needs, provide individualized attention, and encourage resident involvement in self-care.
