About The Position

Comfort Keepers is hiring a part-time CNA in the St. Cloud area. Part-time and full-time hours are available depending on the candidate’s availability, and workers can indicate the hours that work for them. Starting pay is $18 per hour, or $20 per hour for a Certified Nursing Assistant. After five months of employment, eligible employees may take free CNA classes through Scrubs Academy.

As an in-home caregiver, the employee helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. The role may include personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, companionship, mobility and medication assistance, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, communication with the Client Care Coordinator, and electronic documentation of shifts and care.

Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Available every other weekend and holiday.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable personal transportation, a clean driving record, and at least three years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and comfort with driving.
• Clearance of DHS and driving-record background checks.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide hands-on personal care, including assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping, such as cleaning bathrooms and living areas, dusting, mopping, changing linens, vacuuming, doing laundry, and taking out garbage.
• Plan meals, cook, and bake.
• Provide conversation, companionship, and interactive caregiving.
• Assist clients with mobility, including use of transfer tools or equipment.
• Assist with medication.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Complete proper electronic documentation of shifts and care.
