About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Clinic team in Omaha, Nebraska. The CNA provides clinical support to patients and providers in a primary care setting, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and health histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, completing basic clinical tasks, maintaining examination rooms and supplies, documenting patient information, and supporting efficient patient flow and quality patient care. The CNA also performs delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to help achieve each patient’s plan of care.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.
Demonstrated effective communication skills are required.
Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association-endorsed program.
Depending on department needs, Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course may be required after hire in outpatient settings.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
