About The Position

The Clinic CNA supports patient care under RN direction, contributing to patient comfort, safety, and recovery. The role provides basic care, assists with patient transport, and contributes to patient care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team while upholding standards of conduct and patient well-being. The position also provides clinical and administrative support to clinic providers and staff.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant credential in North Dakota, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR), required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen-delivery systems, perform simple wound irrigation, apply direct pressure and dressings, prepare a sterile field for suturing, assist providers with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare it for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and perform phlebotomy.
• Assist with observations, data gathering, and identification of patient care needs.
• Assist with patient transports and transfers.
• Answer telephones, file documents, greet patients and visitors, transcribe provider orders, enter electronic data, and assist with documentation.
• Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintaining department equipment and supplies.
• Practice safe work habits, comply with safety rules and regulations, and adhere to safety policies.
