About The Position

The CNA promotes residents’ dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights. The role includes providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits, while monitoring residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing. This position is scheduled every other weekend on the NOC shift at Franciscan Village in Lemont, Illinois.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations.
Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when working with elderly people.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders, in accordance with care plans and community policies and procedures.
Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transportation into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including setup, cleanup, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and meal intake documentation.
Monitor residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
Deliver nutritional supplements at assigned times, assist residents as needed to ensure intake, and document intake according to community policy and procedure.
Participate in life enrichment programming and provide meaningful activities to residents.
Document resident care accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and procedures, including updates.
