About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable full-time In-Home Caregiver to provide quality care and support to clients in the St. Paul area. The role supports seniors and individuals who need assistance with daily living activities, helping them maintain independence in a safe and comfortable home environment. Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours. One-hour shifts are paid at $30 per hour, two-hour shifts at $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer at a base rate of $19–$22 per hour, based on experience. Weekend availability is required, with availability to work two weekend days per month.

Requirements

A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Availability to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to enhance clients’ lives.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Provide physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Participate in the care coordination team and communicate with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.
Provide medication reminders.
