About The Position

Mountain Valley of Cascadia is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their team in Kellogg, Idaho. As a CNA, you will provide hands-on care, assisting residents with daily living activities, mobility, and meals, while helping them maintain their dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life. The role emphasizes genuine connection and making a difference in the lives of residents.

Requirements

  • Current CNA certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus
  • Valid CPR certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, and incontinence care
  • Help residents with eating, mobility, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises
  • Respond promptly to nurse call systems and resident needs
  • Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and choice
  • Provide care based on individual resident preferences and established care plans
  • Take and record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other health information as directed
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
  • Accurately document care provided
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed
  • Follow restorative nursing and service procedures
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the care team
  • Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with residents, families, and coworkers
  • Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Respond appropriately and efficiently during emergencies
