About The Position

Preferred Care at Home is placing CNAs with local seniors in Fort Lauderdale. Assignments are open immediately, and candidates who are ready can start within days after completing onboarding. Interviews are conducted by video. The position offers full-time or part-time hours, up to 30 hours per week, at $16 to $20 per hour, with weekly pay and direct deposit. The CNA will support a client with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s disorders.

Requirements

• Active CNA license or certification.
• Current Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU; expired certificates are not accepted.
• Current HIV/AIDS CEU; expired certificates are not accepted.
• Current CPR / First Aid certification; expired certificates are not accepted.
• Current Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia-Related Disorders CEU; expired certificates are not accepted.
• Must pass a Level 2 background check, required for all caregivers.
• Have certificates ready when applying.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, meals, and mobility.
• Assist with transfers.
• Take vital signs.
• Document care and report changes in condition.
