Hiring Caregivers for Immediate Assignments
About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of San Antonio North is hiring caregivers for immediate assignments. Caregivers choose their own schedule and are matched with clients near where they live. The office team provides support whenever needed. The role offers part-time or full-time work, with day, evening, and weekend availability, and clients throughout San Antonio, including Stone Oak, Alamo Ranch, and the Medical Center. Hands-on training and support from a caregiver trainer while on shift are provided. Pay is $13–$17 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and referral bonuses.
Requirements
- Caregiving experience, including caring for a family member, or willingness to learn; training is provided.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Patience, dependability, and a big heart.
Responsibilities
- Help clients bathe, dress, and groom.
- Cook meals and help clients eat.
- Do light housekeeping and laundry.
- Keep clients company, run errands, and drive them to appointments.
- Remind clients to take their medications.
- Notice changes in a client’s health and report them.
- Write up each visit.
