About The Position

The Per Diem Aide provides support, personal hygiene assistance, and help with household functions so individuals can remain in their own homes. The role involves personal care, daily living support, household tasks, monitoring and documenting client conditions, maintaining a safe environment, and responding to client needs. The aide must provide service in any home situation regardless of the client’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition. Requirements
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
- Tennessee-specific: complete 75 hours of training, including 16 clinical hours, within the first 3 months; qualified for basic services.
- Pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete it within 90 days of hire.
- Six or more months of home care experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours and independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
- Support household tasks and meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
- Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use the EVV system.
- Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
- Provide services in any home situation regardless of the client’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
