About The Position
Luther Park Community is seeking a part-time overnight Certified Nursing Assistant for Trinity Center, a 120-bed Health Center in Des Moines specializing in Alzheimer's care, skilled care, and long-term care. CNAs provide residents with personal care and assistance as directed by the unit charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or designee. The role includes helping residents with hygiene and daily activities and observing and reporting changes in their physical or emotional condition.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to fluently read, write, and comprehend English.
- Satisfactory completion of the 75-hour nursing assistant course.
- Certified nursing assistant certificate.
- Valid and current listing on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
- Background check, physical, drug screen, and TB test are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to residents as directed by nursing leadership or a designee.
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and baths or showers.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse.
