About The Position

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the CNA Trainee performs designated direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice defined by the certification.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Current New York State Nurse Aide Certification.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and deal with the public professionally and courteously.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and promote teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or GED.
• Prior Nursing Assistant and/or long-term care (LTC) experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform designated direct resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, within the scope of practice defined by the certification.
• Perform designated indirect resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, within the scope of practice defined by the certification.
