Long Term CNA Substitute Teacher
About The Position
A long-term CNA Substitute Teacher is needed at Joseph A. Foran and Jonathan Law High School to cover a leave of absence beginning November 9 and continuing until approximately January 4, 2027. Applicants should be able to teach Introduction to Allied Health Professions (CSCU - Housatonic), Medical Terminology, and the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Health Occupations Certification (103) is recommended. Pay is $145 per day for the first 30 consecutive days and $283.92 per day from Day 31 through the end of the assignment. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Maintain student records, including attendance and grades.
- Establish clear learning intentions and success criteria for learning.
- Use formative assessment to monitor and adjust instruction.
- Design and implement lessons that provide opportunities for problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills in relation to authentic real-world business situations.
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress in relation to curriculum expectations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with students, parents, fellow teachers, school counselors, non-teaching personnel, and administrators.
- Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs as required.
- Stay current with education and pedagogy and seek opportunities to share professional learning with colleagues.
- Maintain contact with area medical facilities for CNA clinicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
