About The Position

Aegis Therapies is hiring a CNA/Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to work with the rehabilitation therapy team in a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care wellness setting. The role focuses exclusively on restorative responsibilities, including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active and passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint or prosthesis care. The instructor assists with restorative care as directed and provides expertise in appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. Onsite restorative training is provided; prior restorative experience is not necessary, but CNA certification is required.

The position supports Aegis’s EnerG wellness programs, which use a holistic, individualized approach to health and wellness. The role is based in Laredo, Texas, and is scheduled for up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the rehabilitation therapy team to provide wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Provide restorative support for ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active and passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint or prosthesis care.
