About The Position
BAYADA is recruiting compassionate caregivers, including Home Health Aides, CNAs, DSPs, and PCAs, to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes through its Assistive Care State Programs (ACSP) Division. Caregivers follow a written plan of care prepared by a registered nurse and provide personal care, household support, and companionship to help adults remain safe and independent at home. The posting identifies service needs in Richland and Lexington Counties and describes a Cerebral Palsy client who uses a Hoyer lift in the Aiken area, with daily, weekend, and overnight shifts available. The role offers training, clinical support, and a team dedicated to employee experience.
Requirements
- At least one year of work experience.
- A passion for caregiving and private home care, and a desire to help others.
- Commitment to being present and providing quality care.
- Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
- Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
- Commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Follow a written plan of care provided by a registered nurse.
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
- Provide light housekeeping and household support, including laundry and bed making.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Assist clients with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Travel to assigned clients’ homes.
