Home care is a different job than working in a hospital or nursing facility, and the CNAs who do best with us know that going in. In a facility, you may care for many residents in one shift and move quickly from task to task. At Assisting Hands Home Care, you care for one client at a time, in their home, often for several hours. You will help with personal care, but much of your time is spent with your client: talking, cooking together, taking a walk, and keeping them engaged. Being good company is a core part of this role, not an extra. You May Love This Role If: You have wished you had more time to truly get to know the people you care for. You prefer a calm, one-on-one setting over a fast-paced floor. You like seeing the same faces every week. You stay on track without a charge nurse nearby. This May Not Be the Right Fit If: You prefer fast-paced, task-based work. You are looking for PRN or occasional shifts only. You need a schedule that changes from week to week.
