About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CNA / Nursing Assistant to provide clinical support to patients and providers at the Village Pointe Infusion Center in Omaha, Nebraska, with floating assignments at the Westroads Infusion Center. The role supports patient care and clinic operations by assisting with delegated patient activities and helping achieve each patient’s plan of care.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska required.
- Effective communication skills required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; certification must be from an American Heart Association-endorsed program for new hires starting January 1, 2023, or later.
- Depending on department needs, Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course may be required after hire in outpatient settings.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to help achieve the patient’s plan of care.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and health histories.
- Assist with examinations and procedures and complete basic clinical tasks.
- Maintain examination rooms and supplies.
- Document patient information.
- Support efficient patient flow and quality patient care.
