CNA / Nursing Assistant - Village Pointe Infusion Center
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CNA / Nursing Assistant for its Village Pointe Infusion Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The CNA provides clinical support to patients and providers in an outpatient setting by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and health histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, completing basic clinical tasks, maintaining exam rooms and supplies, documenting patient information, and supporting efficient patient flow and quality patient care. The position also floats to the Westroads Infusion Center. This is a casual, PRN position requiring 24 hours per month. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with varied days and 6-, 8-, or 10-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association-endorsed program; this requirement applies to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.

- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to support the patient's plan of care.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and health histories.

- Document patient information.
- Support efficient patient flow and quality patient care.
- Float to the Westroads Infusion Center.
