About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated CNA / Nurse Assistant for a Long Term Care (LTC) travel assignment. This position involves providing direct patient care in a long-term care setting. The shift is a Night Shift, consisting of 5x8 hour days (10:00 PM – 06:00 AM), for a duration of 13 weeks. The assignment is located in Newark, New York.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required.
- Candidates should be experienced with: Ambulation assistance, Feeding assistance, Turning and repositioning patients, Bed baths, showers, skin care, foot care, mouth care, and perineal care, Pressure injury prevention, Incontinence care, Vital signs monitoring, Catheter care, Specimen collection and transport, Safe patient transfers and mobility assistance, Use of Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer belts, specialty beds, and related equipment, PPE and isolation precautions, Reporting changes in patient condition, Bathing/hygiene and daily care support.

Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with ambulation.
- Providing feeding assistance.
- Turning and repositioning patients.
- Performing bed baths, showers, skin care, foot care, mouth care, and perineal care.
- Implementing pressure injury prevention strategies.
- Providing incontinence care.
- Monitoring vital signs.
- Performing catheter care.
- Collecting and transporting specimens.
- Assisting with safe patient transfers and mobility.
- Utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer belts, and specialty beds.
- Adhering to PPE and isolation precautions.
- Reporting changes in patient condition.
- Providing bathing/hygiene and daily care support.
