About The Position
Benedictine sponsors CNA-NAR training classes at no cost to associates. Trainees are paid while they train and earn a certification, receiving the tools and skills needed to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After successful completion of the CNA course and passing the state CNA exams, part-time and full-time opportunities are available. The role is with Benedictine, a non-profit senior care organization founded by the sisters of St. Scholastica and guided by the core values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect, and Justice.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program, or hired into a Benedictine NA training program.
- Eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training.
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- BLS Certification.
Responsibilities
- Attend all scheduled classes and successfully pass the state-required certification test.
- Collect initial and ongoing data on residents and report their condition and changes to an RN or LPN.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.
