About The Position

Westminster Woods on Julington Creek, a Life Plan Community in a waterfront setting near Jacksonville, is hiring a CNA/Med Tech in Memory Support. The role provides assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by the Supervisor. The schedule is part-time, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekends only.

Requirements

• Certified nurse’s aide in accordance with Florida law.
• Medical Technician Certified.
• CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulation, and toileting.
• Make beds, remove room trash, serve meals, and maintain a high level of hygiene in residents’ rooms.
• Take vital signs and report observations and changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and control measures in compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
• Document in the CNA ECS flow-sheet accurately, completely, and on time.
• Make routine and frequent rounds and ensure safety precautions and equipment are in place and working.
• Help prevent skin problems and breakdown by providing timely incontinence care and frequently repositioning residents who need assistance.
• Assist the Activities Department with resident activities.
