About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a long-term care position in Newark, New York. This is a 13-week contract assignment with a night schedule of five 8-hour shifts from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The listed traveler pay rate is $32 per hour. Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted. The position requires floating as needed and coverage every other weekend. Daytime orientation is provided during the first week. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ambulation, feeding, bathing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, transfers, turning and repositioning, and bed-making.
• Provide skin and decubitus care and catheter care.
• Measure and record vital signs, fluid and calorie intake, and urine and drain output.
• Use oxygen equipment, pulse oximetry, Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer belts, and sliding boards as needed.
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE procedures, NPO and fluid restrictions, passive range-of-motion practices, proper body mechanics, and safe patient-transfer procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, stock supplies, and clean equipment.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in their condition.
