CNA in Training
About The Position
Parker Health and Rehabilitation offers a free, state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training program at its acute care facility. The program combines classroom instruction with clinical experience and includes 105 hours of training, clinical patient experience, and on-site training. There is no charge for training. After successful completion, the facility will work to help candidates find full-time or part-time positions. Graduates may also have the opportunity to pursue free QMA classes offered monthly. Team members contribute their skills to help residents reach and maintain their highest functional abilities. The role calls for a passion for caring for people, personal integrity, tactful interactions, and discretion in protecting confidential information and complying with corporate policies and HIPAA.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Successfully pass the English, Reading, and Math Competency Test.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Have a passion for caring for people.
- Demonstrate personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel.
- Be able to protect the integrity of confidential information and comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
Responsibilities
- Participate in classroom instruction and clinical experience as part of the CNA training program.
- Complete 105 hours of state-approved training, including clinical patient experience.
- Care for residents and support their highest functional abilities.
- Deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel.
- Protect confidential information and comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA requirements.
