About The Position

The CNA/HHA provides hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe, comfortable, home-like environment. The role supports residents’ independence, dignity, and safety, and includes monitoring residents’ wellbeing, assisting with daily living needs, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging residents in activities. The position is with LakeHouse Senior Living, which operates Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide care to a designated group of residents and know their whereabouts, checking on them throughout the shift.
Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ symptoms and condition, including skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary habits, and participation in activities.
Respond promptly to security system alerts and resident call bells.
Notify a supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator when a resident’s care needs increase.
Assist with continence management and properly dispose of continence products to maintain sanitation.
Serve and collect food trays, assist residents as needed, and report meal refusals or loss of appetite.
Maintain cleanliness in residents’ rooms and work areas.
Follow cleanliness, hygiene, and health precautions.
Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and physical safety.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating, as instructed.
Engage residents in life skills and other life-enrichment activities.
Greet and assist customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
Complete residents’ laundry as assigned and needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
