About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring CNAs and HHAs to provide one-on-one care for seniors and adults in their homes. This is a W2 employee position, not a 1099 contractor role or registry position. Unlike facility work where caregivers may be responsible for many patients at once, this role focuses on providing personal, practical, and important care to a single client at a time in their home. Assisting Hands is a local, family-owned home care agency operated by a husband and wife team. They are seeking dependable, professional caregivers who are comfortable traveling to client homes within a reasonable local service area. The work takes place in client homes, and a good fit for this role is someone comfortable driving to different client homes within a reasonable local area.

Requirements

• Valid Florida CNA license or HHA certificate required
• Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening required
• Classroom CPR certification required
• Completion of Florida required trainings, including HIV AIDS, Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias, and Assistance With Self Administration of Medication
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Paid caregiving experience with seniors or adults who need personal care assistance
• Strong communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and caring attitude

Nice To Haves

• Comfort with pets preferred, since many clients have animals in the home

Responsibilities

• Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assisting with transfers and mobility
• Preparing meals
• Helping with light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Giving medication reminders
• Assisting with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
• Reporting concerns or changes to the office
