About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring dependable caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to provide one on one care for seniors in their homes. This is a W2 employee position. It is not a 1099 contractor role or registry position. We are a local, family owned home care agency operated by a husband and wife team. We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, professional, and comfortable helping clients in their homes throughout the greater Jacksonville area. Typical pay is is between $16 to $18 dollars per hour for most cases. Higher rates may be available for select assignments based on client needs, schedule, location, and case complexity.

Requirements

• Valid Florida CNA license or HHA certificate required
• Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening required.
• Classroom CPR certification required
• Completion of Florida required trainings, including HIV AIDS, Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias, and Assistance With Self Administration of Medication
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Strong communication skills
• Professional, dependable, and caring attitude

Nice To Haves

• Comfort with pets preferred, since many clients have animals in the home

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Helping with transfers and mobility support
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Giving medication reminders
• Helping with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
• Reporting changes or concerns to the office
