About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring CNAs and HHAs for home care opportunities throughout Jacksonville and Duval County. We are looking for individuals who want meaningful work helping seniors and adults stay safely at home. Our caregivers work one on one with clients, allowing them to get to know the person they are helping. We have clients who need help during the day, as well as other times of the week, with various needs including personal care, companionship, and household tasks.

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
• Level Two Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV AIDS training
• Alzheimers and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation
• Good communication skills
• A dependable and professional attitude

Nice To Haves

• Comfort around pets is preferred because some clients have pets in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Walking, transfers, and mobility support
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Companionship
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation for errands or appointments when part of the care plan
• Reporting concerns or changes to the office
