About The Position

The CNA Clinic, Mohall supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a rural primary care clinic setting. This role assists the clinical team with patient preparation, basic clinical procedures, specimen-related activities, and other delegated care within the CNA scope of practice. The CNA works closely with nurses, providers, laboratory services, and other clinic staff to support patient flow, accurate documentation, infection prevention, and a positive patient experience. Through attentive care and effective teamwork, the CNA Clinic, Mohall contributes to quality outcomes for the community served by the clinic.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant registration by state of North Dakota
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of approved phlebotomy training through Trinity Health is required
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting patients with movement throughout the clinic.
  • Must be able to lift or support up to 40–50 pounds when helping patients or positioning equipment.
  • Manual dexterity for clinical tasks, the ability to respond quickly in a busy environment, and sustained focus during periods of high patient volume.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are essential for patient interaction, documentation, and recognizing safety concerns.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant preferred
  • 1 year clinic experience preferred
  • Coding experience preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • May require travel to satellites

Responsibilities

  • Assists providers and nursing staff with routine office based medical procedures and patient preparation.
  • Supports patient flow by escorting individuals to exam rooms, obtaining basic measurements, and ensuring rooms are properly stocked and sanitized.
  • Provides patient instruction and reassurance in a calm and courteous manner, promoting a comfortable care environment.
  • Documents patient information accurately and communicates relevant updates to nursing or provider staff.
  • Maintains clean, safe clinical areas by following infection control and equipment hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborates with the clinic team to support daily operations, respond to patient needs, and facilitate efficient appointment workflows.
