About The Position

CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, part of CommonSpirit Health, provides primary and specialty healthcare services to the Williston community. The Clinic CNA supports patient care under RN direction, contributing to patient comfort, safety, and recovery as a member of an interdisciplinary team. The role provides basic care, helps with transport, and contributes to patients’ plans of care while maintaining high standards of conduct and patient well-being.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant credential in North Dakota, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support–CPR, required within 30 days.
• Strong communication skills, a service-oriented approach, meticulous patient support, and commitment to dignified, high-quality healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record vital signs; provide CPR and apply oxygen delivery systems.
• Perform simple wound irrigation, apply direct pressure and dressings, prepare a sterile field for suturing, assist providers with treatment when appropriate, and apply restraints.
• Clean medical equipment and prepare it for sterilization; collect urine specimens; perform phlebotomy.
• Assist with observations, data gathering, and identification of patient care needs.
• Assist with patient transports and transfers.
• Answer telephones, file documents, greet patients and visitors, transcribe provider orders, enter electronic data, and assist with documentation.
• Clean, stock, and maintain department equipment and supplies.
• Practice safe work habits, comply with safety rules and regulations, and adhere to safety policies.
