CNA Class-Nurse Aide Training Program
About The Position
DeRidder Retirement & Rehabilitation Center's Nurse Aide Training Program is the launching path for individuals looking to enter the healthcare or nursing field with no prior experience. This program offers new pay scales and sign-on bonuses. Participants will learn in the classroom and on the job with hands-on experience while earning their Certified Nursing Assistant license. The healthcare industry is highlighted as a rewarding field. DeRidder Retirement & Rehabilitation Center covers 100% of the cost for the NATP course and the certification test upon completion of the course within the facility for selected individuals. This is a paid, entry-level position, and the rate will be adjusted to the CNA pay scale upon certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commitment to scheduled class & work hours with expectation of obtaining certification
- Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own work load in a busy environment
- Meet the physical job demands of the position

- Experience working and communicating with seniors
Responsibilities
- Learn in the classroom and on the job with hands-on experience.

- Accommodate resident requests for assistance within the scope of non-certified assistance.
