About The Position

The Piper Living, an elegant Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Kansas City, is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA / Caregiver (Resident Assistant) to join their care team. This full-time position offers a unique schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, providing full-time pay while allowing for four days off each week. The role involves providing hands-on care, assisting residents with daily living activities, building meaningful relationships, monitoring well-being, and supporting Memory Care residents with specialized care.

Requirements

  • Active CNA certification in Kansas (required).
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year related health care experience required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Assisted Living or Memory Care experience (strongly preferred).
  • Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state.
  • May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) depending on the state requirements, if licensed or certified must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
  • In any Community with an Ensemble Program, applicant must successfully complete required dementia training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and more.
  • Build genuine, meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Monitor resident well-being and promptly communicate any changes to the care team.
  • Support Memory Care residents with patience, empathy, and dementia-informed care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Provide resident care services as scheduled under the supervision of the Resident Services Director.
  • Keep proper records of care, including resident service plans and documenting services provided.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care.
  • Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
  • Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.
