We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to a client in his home. Empathy Hands Home Care is looking for reliable, compassionate, and qualified caregivers to serve our clients in the Los Angeles, Baldwin Hills, and Westwood areas. Must be fluent in English. We are looking for experienced Caregivers, CNAs, or Senior Companionship’s p. This is our agency's goal. Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience in patient care or senior care is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and this family
  • Ability to transfer the client safely when needed, adhering to proper lifting or transfer techniques.
  • Familiarity with meal preparation that meets nutritional needs.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in outpatient, geriatrics, or in-home care settings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach clients about their care plans effectively.
  • Must be patient, empathetic, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work on Weekends
  • Proven experience working in home care, neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Knowledge of patient care procedures including first aid, CPR, and hospice care practices
  • Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia support, autism support, intellectual disabilities assistance, and geriatrics
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition or behavior
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare teams
  • In-home caregiver: 2 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of home community care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Valid certifications in CPR and First Aid; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Support clients with mobility assistance, including lifting when necessary.
  • Medication reminder and monitor health conditions.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences while maintaining proper food safety standards
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately in care plans
  • Administer medications following prescribed schedules and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
  • Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through memory care techniques and patient observation
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities, supporting social engagement and overall well-being
