About The Position

MercyOne is hiring a Nurse Assistant to provide holistic, compassionate, individualized, and effective patient care by assisting patients with activities of daily living. The Nurse Assistant also supports patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in accordance with MercyOne’s mission, the Vision of Patient Care Services, evidence-based standards of care, and established policies and procedures. This is a full-time position at 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week), with a 12-hour night shift listed as 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age; child labor laws apply to minors under 18, and some areas may require employees to be at least 18.
Must meet at least one of the following: be active on the applicable state registry; provide proof of completing a 75-hour CNA course; provide proof of EMT certification; or provide proof of having formally held and completed training for a medical occupation specialty in the military.
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six months of hire and every three years thereafter.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
