About The Position
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe, basic care to patients. Duties include taking vital signs, helping patients with activities of daily living, collecting specimens, and observing patients for physical or emotional changes. The PCT/CNA records pertinent information in patient charts and communicates with other Patient Care Team members to support continuity of care. The role may include providing constant patient supervision as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
- Six months of experience supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe basic care to patients.
