About The Position

Building & Earth Sciences is a construction materials testing and consulting firm seeking a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager. The role oversees and coordinates the testing and inspection of construction materials at job sites, helping ensure materials meet quality and safety standards and that structures are safe and durable. The Project Manager leads technicians and inspectors, coordinates testing with project teams, evaluates and reports test results, maintains compliance with relevant requirements, and manages client relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
Leadership skills and experience managing and mentoring teams.
In-depth knowledge of relevant ASTM, ACI, and AASHTO testing methods and standards.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when interpreting testing data.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of technicians and inspectors, supporting their training, development, and on-site safety.
Oversee and conduct tests on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates to verify compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to schedule and coordinate testing, and provide insights and recommendations.
Analyze test results, prepare reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders, including guidance on necessary adjustments.
Stay current with relevant codes, regulations, and industry trends to support compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
Build and maintain client relationships, address concerns, and provide customer service.
