Requirements

Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required
Minimum 6 months of Medication Aide/Med Tech experience required
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to successfully complete required background screening

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Memory Care preferred
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Experience caring for residents with dementia is a plus

Responsibilities

Safely administer medications according to physician orders, state regulations, and community policies
Accurately document medication administration and resident care
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, and personal care
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team
Support resident independence while providing compassionate, person-centered care
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming community environment
Participate in resident engagement and daily community activities as needed
