Requirements

• Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required
• Minimum 6 months of Medication Aide/Med Tech experience required
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Memory Care preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Experience caring for residents with dementia is a plus

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to physician orders, state regulations, and community policies
• Accurately document medication administration and resident care
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, and personal care
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team
• Support resident independence while providing compassionate, person-centered care
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming community environment
• Participate in resident engagement and daily community activities as needed
