Requirements

  • 9 years of experience in construction materials testing (field or lab), special inspections, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience (i.e. 4-year degree + 5 years' experience or Associate degree + 7 years' experience)
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Maintain certifications as necessary for the work performed or managed.
  • If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid drivers license is required.
  • Strong marketing, business development, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level understanding of prioritizing and urgency of work in the consulting industry.
  • Proficient with computers and MS Office.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, peers and supervisors as well as independently. Ability to build a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ECS systems and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the department manager and/or office manager, while performing technical, managerial and administrative duties.
  • Oversee various CMT projects through all phases to completion, perform report reviews, and prepare proposals for CMT services.
  • Lead and mentor a group of CMT technicians and/or project managers.
  • Duties regarding daily management of the group include timecard approval, onboarding, training, managing productivity, load leveling, ensuring deliverable deadlines are met, and making the group accountable for invoicing and collection efforts.
  • This position requires a commitment to assist with the management of the group for continued growth with a strong emphasis on marketing, business development, and client development.
  • As needed, assist with recruiting and maintaining an adequate staff level in your group.
  • Other duties as assigned.
