About The Position

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research. We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins. This is a 4-month Co-op position (Fall Term) as a sensor characterization specialist.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Science (physics), Engineering (electrical, computer, systems, etc), or Math undergraduate program.

Responsibilities

  • Characterizing and evaluating the performance of Teledyne's newest CMOS Image Sensors.
  • Working with Image Sensor Designers to learn how to operate the Sensors.
  • Using electronics lab equipment and custom software to confirm proper internal functioning.
  • Measuring electrical and electro-optical performance, including parameters such as charge transfer efficiency, photon transfer curves, and electrical and optical crosstalk.
  • Taking direction from and reporting results to Project Leaders and other senior team members.
  • Investigating issues that arise at end customers and suggesting operational changes to improve sensor performance.
