Requirements

  • 2 year college degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous CMM experience preferred, but not necessary
  • This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while sitting, standing, or walking a minimum of six (6) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be capable of performing repetitive motion for two (2) to four (4) hours a day.
  • Ability to climb stairs is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional layout on prototype, pre-production and production components and fascias.
  • Develop CMM programs for dimensional verification of fascia’s, gauges, or components.
  • Conduct annual dimensional layouts on all production fascias as required by customer specific requirements.
  • Provide analysis of layout and/or capability data via dimensional reports and summaries.
  • Assist team members with capability and gauge R&R studies.
  • Prepare CMM dimensional reports for fascia’s, gauges calibrations or fascia components.
  • Assist quality engineers and program managers with gauge design and verification.
  • Prioritization, scheduling and execution of CMM requests.
  • Calibration of check fixtures and metrology measuring equipment as required by calibration schedule and procedure.
  • Develop CMM programs as necessary.
  • Maintain metrology measurement equipment list, status and calibration schedule.
  • Assist team members in maintaining cleanliness of CMM area and Metrology lab.
  • IMDS system entries & maintenance for new and existing programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
