Requirements

Basic understanding of CMM Operation/Programming
Knowledge of X,Y,Z axis Vectors
Knowledge of Cartesian coordinates
Knowledge of Polar coordinates
Knowledge of Part Set-ups
Knowledge of Alignments (3-2-1)
Knowledge of Datum Offset planes and lines
Knowledge of Translating origins
Blueprint Reading/Interpretation skills
Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.

Responsibilities

Operates, maintains, and programs Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), 3D Vision System, Single Axis Measuring device and various hand-tools.
Reads blueprints and GD&T symbology to determine dimensions, tolerance specifications, and proper setup for selected customer equipment.
Sets up and orients customer items on various measuring equipment to minimize setups for an efficient inspection process.
Repeats the inspection process to cover all sections of customer items.
Compares recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notifies specified persons of discrepancies.
Performs these functions within a laboratory setting.
Models the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned manner.
